2.10pm - Straight and Term Of Endearment will do for me at double-figure prices in an open race. They still have potential, and there’s no star in this race.
2.45pm - The first thing that sticks out is that No Lunch is crazy short for a horse trying dirt for the first time - in a good, ultra-competitive race - and who’s drawn wide. The 4-1 about Raging Torrent looks okay, and fellow US runners Little Vic and Steal Sunshine seem overpriced at double figures.
3.20pm - This is a good, competitive race. Loads have claims, but I’m happy with Isivunguvungu at 20-1.
4pm - I had a good bet on Flood Zone at 9-4 earlier in the week, and now he’s 5-2…
4.40pm - At 10-1, Nakatomi looks worth an each-way punt against the ‘big two’. He has a strong chance of placing - he has the run-style to be keeping on - and he could win.
5.15pm - The brilliant Romantic Warrior should win this and is priced accordingly.
5.50pm - Calandagan is the price I made him, 13-8. Rebel’s Romance is bigger than expected (4-1 compared to 5-2 forecast).
6.30pm - The big race looks priced right; Forever Young ought to be winning.
