Atalanta Stakes: After the rain, fear the thunder

This a flash article due to the limited window of opportunity, as this recommendation runs tomorrow at Sandown. It's rained in the south-east, properly, in the last few hours. Going at Sandown was S/GS in places at 0830 per Turftrax...but the rain hadn't stopped by then.
In tomorrow's Atalanta Stakes at Sandown there are many at the top of the market who won't have wanted this going change.
Spiritual's price has come down accordingly, as well it might (course winner on soft), but she was truly dreadful last time out and carries a penalty.
We are very keen on Bright Thunder at 14/1.
This wide-margin winner of a listed race at Deauville two races back (soft) was then only narrowly beaten in the G3 Oak Tree Stakes at Goodwood on fast-ish ground. Note that the (dead-heat) winner Saqqara Sands (half a length ahead) then ran Jonquil to a head in a Group 2 at the same track next time out.
14/1 is terrific value for Karl Burke's filly, and we expect her price to tumble. Take her each-way with 4 places (though in the event of multiple withdrawals the number of places paid out may be cut).
